The first step when a rug comes to our cleaning facility is to have one of our staff give it a complete inspection. This is done to locate any areas that are stained, soiled, or may need extra care when the rug is being cleaned. If your rug has small or intricate designs, then spots and blemishes on the fibers can be hard to see. Our experts will look over each rug before it continues to the next step of the cleaning process.
The carpet will then move on to the next step, which is soil removal. This step is a process where the back of the rug is beaten that to remove loose material from the rug effectively and safely. This machine will shake out any loose dirt in the rug fibers. Depending on the condition and how the rug is made, compressed air can also be used to reach down into the fibers to expel the trapped soil and dirt.
Once the loose dust is removed, we place the rug in our cleaning pools to soak the rug and start to hand wash the rug with a soft brush to remove any dirt, stains and odors in the rug. Selected cleaning agents are used depending on any issues with the rug and the levels of soils in the fibers. Our cleaning agents are environmentally safe and do not cause dye bleeding. Dye bleeding of a rug is caused when chemicals react to the colored dye in the fibers and cause it to run. Because we pre-test the rug with our cleaning solutions, we make sure that there is no color run during the cleaning process.
Drying the rug is the last step in our cleaning process. We use a centrifuge spin drying machine that removes up to 95% of the water. This removes dirty water, cleaning solution and any urine in the rug. Then we place the rug in our special temperature controlled drying room to speed the drying of the rug.
Once the rug is dried we place it on our finishing machine. This machine will brush the rug and vacuum it to remove any loose material. Then we package your rug in a plastic wrapper. Finally we call our clients and arrange for a free delivery. We believe that our rug cleaning service is the best Oriental rug cleaning in Essex County NJ. If you want to arrange for an appointment or ask more questions about our service, call us and we will be happy to help you with your questions.
