Everybody want to keep their carpet clean and hygiene. One of the proven method to keep carpets clean is to use a mat outside the room. It is because mat can absorb a large potion of dirt and dust from visitors shoes and prevent them from entering in to our room. So the carpet inside the room is almost safe from the dust particles. This tip is useful only if your mat has enough size to hold more foot steps of visitors. It is also important to clean mat daily to make sure that dirt particles accumulated in mat is not saturated.
If the mat we placed is full with dirt, it will provide opposite result. A saturated mat (with dirt) can increase the amount of dirt enter your room. Some studies says a properly placed mat can absorb major portion (more than 80 percent) of total dirt carried by a visitor shoes. So we cannot avoid the idea of using mat to protect our room and carpet from dust and dirt. It is wise to keep a long mat placed outside the main entrance where most users are coming in to the room.
